A series of events on the role of technology in the housing sector has proven to be a huge success.

The Gas Compliance Roadshows, organised by Gas Tag, were held across the UK and brought together over 100 housing professionals and leading voices from the tech industry. The events aimed to give attendees the chance to discuss the evolution of compliance and the opportunities and solutions that technology could offer.

Morgan Lambert, a gas auditing provider with over 20 years’ experience, spoke in depth about compliance law and what falls under the responsibilities of the landlord. Interestingly, Morgan Lambert revealed that it fails around 20% of LGSRs it inspect, often for reasons which are easy to avoid.

““We are passionate about the opportunities that emerging technologies, such as Gas Tag, present housing providers to increase efficiencies, while making sure that their properties are safe for residents."”

Daniel Timmis, Group Asset Manager at Housing Plus Group, spoke about his experiences since procuring Gas Tag’s compliance product and how it has benefited the provider.

Attendees also heard from a number of technology companies who provided updates on emerging tech and the opportunities it was providing for the sector to develop new ways of working.

Lee Burke, Sales Director at Gas Tag, said: “We organised the Gas Tag Compliance Roadshow series to bring together housing professionals and facilitate discussions around the increasing role of technology in the sector.

“We are passionate about the opportunities that emerging technologies, such as Gas Tag, present housing providers to increase efficiencies, while making sure that their properties are safe for residents.

“We would like to thank everyone who attended or spoke at one of the events.”

Gas Tag’s Gas Compliance Roadshows will be returning next year and anyone interested in future events is urged to check the Gas Tag website.
