MPs, housing association bosses and celebrities today launched a campaign to make Britain’s homes safer.

Wirral Methodist Housing Association (WMHA) was the first housing provider to adopt Gas Tag’s gas servicing software.

In January’s issue of Housing Technology, John Harris, Wirral’s cyclical and planned property surveyor, explains the benefits of Gas Tag and how it’s helping with ‘no access’ visits.

John says: “There are a number of benefits to Gas Tag, including the more efficient processing of appointments and evidence of access attempts, real-time gas safety certificates, and flagging of what is ‘immediately dangerous’ and what is ‘at risk’.

This reduces unnecessary letters and phone calls to tenants which were previously needed for ‘no access’ issues.”
